This is an immensely popular and spectacular trek which takes trekkers to the base camp of Annapurna South Face. The route provides an interesting diversity from lowland to the outstanding high mountains with breathtaking views of the Annapurna range. Though this trek is not very difficult, it involves a great deal of ascents and descents. Travelers will not only experience the natural beauty of the region but encounter different ethnic groups along the route in less than two weeks of walking. The huge south face of Annapurna (8090 m.) provides an impressive backdrop, while the closeness of 10 peaks over 6000 m. inspires trekkers with fits of joy and bliss as a fitting highlight of this spectacular trek. With its superb views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South and Hiunchuli, it is a great place to spend a day or two.
