Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trek

Days: 20
Difficulty: Medium – hard
Max Altitude: 5450 m (17,880 ft)
When to go:Mid Feb – May & Mid Sept - Dec

This is one of the most challenging high altitude treks in the Everest region. It takes us to the Gokyo and Nangpa valleys through beautiful Sherpa villages and the wonderfully unique Namche Bazaar and Thame. Both these valleys are off the traditional route and the paths are relatively quiet. Gently , we head north into the remote Nangpa valley high pass and trek towards the Nepal/Tibet border until we reach Renjo La Pass. After crossing this high pass , we descend over rough glacial slabs and moraine towards a secluded location on the western shore of Gokyo Lake . Here , you will enjoy the beautiful Himalayan scenery. Next day , we continue our trek ascending to the famous Chola La Pass. From the top of Chola we enjoy excellent Panoramic views of the world’s great mountains such as Lhotse , Amadablam , Thamserku and Everest. After the Pass , the trail descends steeply towards Manjo through beautiful Pine forests.
